far far away

but not as far as I've ever been.... So, one uneventful plane flight, and two ferries later, I'm on Virgin Gorda. This wireless (free) is **very** slow so there will not be many words. First, if anyone wants to contact me, send email, do not leave voice mail on my phone. My phone does work here, and if it's on/on me I'll answer, but mostly it will be off. Second, well... it's about 85F, and right now dark. The breeze is singing through the wires of the mast stays. It's really beautiful. So, yea, failure to suck.

Is very nice, except for insufficient evidence of rainfall for me to feel comfortable living there.

Is the need for rainfall a personal thing, or not wanting to live in drought-prone areas for fear of using up the natural water supply?

Also -- is desalination of sea water OK in your opinion?

(BTW -- we are probably having our roof redone this summer. Now is the time for solar panels, right?)
