He can set up an easy venting system using some dryer vent hose attached to a plywood cutout to put into a nearby window frame and a small exhaust fan or computer fan put in front of the dryer vent tube on his work surface right near the project in question. Glassblowers use something like this to keep silica particulate under control when we're pouring out and moving around the fine grit coloring agents we use.
