Morning rounds

1 dog
2 horses
3 cats
3 hens
5 little pigs
5 little turkeys
10 white chickens soon to be food for human consumption
57 baby chicks of mixed fates.
The air is dry and cool, but the heat of the sum promises an nice hay drying and baling day, so long as those few high clouds don't amount to much more. It's a  wonderful morning to step out the door.
Now, breakfast for 3 bipeds.

When I was a little kid before we moved to Alaska, my parents owned a little plot of land in Flagstaff, Arizona and we raised chickens among other things. Fresh chicken is still my favorite form of meat to this very day.

Sometimes, but not always. Morning rounds takes about 15 minutes.
