riding log and too much to do today

Was on the horse by 7:45 this morning. Hacked the 2.5 mi up the hill to the jumps, jumped some, then rode home the long way involving a couple of nice gallops and plenty of not-so-nice deer flies and mosquitoes.  No spooking at the trash truck or other early-morning traffic on the road, just sluggishness going out.

Now: to clean the house, go to the bank, feed cows, get Alice to appointments,

OMG the toaster just smoked! literally. oh well, I guess 42 years is enough to expect from a toaster. (yea, it's older than I am, so?)

Oh, I remember doing that ride with you back in December or January. And the horses spooking at an offended duck. Minnie was ***tired and sore*** afterwards. I'd like to do that ride again (when there are fewer bugs!)

Fewer bugs won't be until October. But yes. we'll do that.
