And a truck (visible to the left) we could jump from. I have a solar rig for trickle-charging Gravely batteries, the AC CA and the '51 Chevy, but the new JD hasn't been in a barn all summer.

in this instance 'new' is defined as younger than me - that 'new' JD is a mid-70's model.

Sez the net, Yanmar built the 1050 for John Deere 1980 - 1989. IIRC, that one is a 1983, I think the turf-tire 1050 is a year newer.

Alas, the charge droid appears to have a short in its transformer. It was a cheap Harbor Freight import, and we got about 14 years out of it, so time for another...
