(no subject)

The motor for my house water pump is now sitting on my dining room table. And the
place that has the replacement won't be open until Tuesday. Thank you holiday weekend.

Any chance a pool store or Grainger would have a pump you could use as a temporary fix?

In the mean time, if you're coming here on Sunday, you can borrow our shower.

And the same applies for tonight, if you're heading towards Boston.

So M and I should come well showered on Sunday, or plan to wash in the barn? ::chills::

How big a motor does it use? What RPM? I've got a few random smallish (.75 - 1 HP) industrial-frame motors kicking around, and probably whatever would be required to make a mounting adapter, if needed.

It's a 1/6 HP 90VDC permanent magnet motor running off 110VAC via a rectifier; Dayton has been making them for at least 20 years. The mounting is 4 bolts about 1.5" apart on the faceplate, with a 1/2" shaft flatted for a setscrew. What I need to do is either locate a source of new armature assemblies or see if someone will rewind old armatures; I now have two dead ones, and nothing has come up for which I've needed to salvage magnets, brush assemblies etc.

and the motor parts, and its insides, and graphite and ...

i myself never made it to the apples. apparently there was a time warp, because even at 85 mph ++, i wouldn't have gotten to concord, let alone exit 4 off 89 before 5 pm. oops. perhaps sunday.

thanx for the day :)

the turkeys are both cute and magnificient (and aren't whipoorwills :>)
