Ask Dr. LJ - problems w/ Google?

Is anyone else having problems with Gmail this morning? As soon as I log in it eats my CPU. (Firefox goes from using 7% cpu to 90% cpu) Everything else is working just fine.

Remember, folks, I'm just a user, so don't get too technical on me....

EDIT 5:18pm - finally checked gmail's help. without it actually saying to do this I decided to try clearing the cookies. That seems to have cleared up the problem.

When I first tried to get at my gmail this morning, I was bounced with a 503, which Google was polite enough to deliver with some reassuring platitudes about the safety of my data. It also said to try again later after a few minutes.

When I did try again later, everything was fine.

I have 'tried again later' several times, still broken.... sigh.
