Food! Which would you rather?

I'm going back to the pig breeder to replace the one we lost. I could get an extra (one or two) and raise one as a breeder sow. I like raising pigs, but this would mean that I would not have room in the barn to raise any beef. I have a good source of beef up in VT, but it's still not my own..... [Poll #1867162]

breeder pig means winter work, which could be a bummer for you, but you enjoyed having Allie if I remember right.

Also, I would be able to sell 2 whole pigs for you right off the bat

I voted for more pork because it feels like happy pig is harder to get locally than contented cow (also, pig roast!), but it's really about what works best for you.

Oh would you like to swing on a star
carry moonbeams home in a jar
and be better off than you are
or would you rather be a pig

A pig is an animal with dirt on his face
his shoes are a terrible disgrace
He has no manners when he eats his food
He's fat and lazy and extremely rude
But if you don't care a feather or a fig
you may grow up to be a pig

I voted for beef out of pure self-interest. I was hoping you and Dr. Karen could be facilitators in my evil Masai Surprise plot (designed to prove my theory that anything that can be mixed with milk can be turned into ice cream).

I am selfishly saying beef, because I like beef more than pork. I am also aware that the amount of beef you can raise is sufficiently limited I might not get any anyway. :-)

a pig roast sounds awesome!

I'm all for the pig roast, myself.
