This is just wrong

It's Jamuary 6.  I just took the dog out and fed ponies in my BATHROBE!  And it's still mostly dark out.  The outside temp is 17C (63F) with an overcast sky.
No, I don't *have* to be up this early on a Saturday, but I went to bed at 9 last night, and well...  8 hours later I was Awake.

I am sorry for the frogs, but I love this weather.

OH, that's not a complaint... until we get to the growing season and see in just which ways we are fucked this year.

Being sorry for the frogs is kind of more a catch-all for all of the ick that could potentially follow insufficiently harsh weather. I would give up the fair weather
to avoid such ick were the decision mine. In the meantime, I will try to not feel too guilty for love of things beyond my direct control:) I wish you the best for the growing season and hope it is not too bad for you and everyone else.

Hey, you could be in New Mexico, where they've had more snow than they've seen in years.

But to get there, you'd have to go thru Denver's airport, which has been socked in by two major blizzards.

If I *wanted* to go to New Mexico, there is a perfectly good train which doesn't go within 200 miles of Denver. And I could bring my knitting! so there!
