I went and tried out this horse today. He fit the bill on a few counts and didn't fit on others. He is a fantastic mover. He jumps with enthusiasm. He is very quiet and calm both on the ground and while riding. However, that beautiful movement comes with, well, a lot of movement. He's very bouncy. Watching him on the lunge line, I thought "wow, he moves just like Minnie". And lo and behold, he feels just like Minnie, only 4 inches bigger. Um, not a horse I'd love for my very own. He's also had some less than stellar training recently, given the lack of muscle on the top of his neck and the overdeveloped underside. Nothing that couldn't be fixed, but I don't think I'd spend $36,000 on it right now. There is probably someone out there who will like him much more than I do.
