confessions of a middle-aged housewife
Mar. 30th, 2006 08:48 amSo I get up every morning, put out breakfast for my family, pack a lunch for my daughter and get them off to work and school. Then it’s to the critters, whom I also dearly love, and then a load of laundry, some days it will be two. They say I am my own boss, but that’s not really true, because there’s mother nature to tell me what to do. If the sun is shining, lots to do outside, be it cleaning up the garden, or taking ponies for a ride. But oh, this is where She fails me, and leaves me to decide, do I do the Right Thing, or sit and stay inside. There are books that call me, and friends to email to. And if I wanted to be useful: cleaning, filing, accounting too. Sometimes I try to make my life exciting, by going out on Tuesday night. But I am just reminded, of how much I really LIKE my life. So if I should seem grumpy, remind me once again, that I really am my own boss, and that I can remember when.
