Wide awake at 4am, or, yesterday's accomplishments and today's plans

I really wish I were still asleep, but I have slept well for 6 hours and now I am awake and fretful about today. 
However, yesterday went just about as good as could be expected - I did get critter feed, and a giant dog crate, the chicken airstream did get enough paint to be parked for the winter, the chimney sweep came and swept, I did get to the local gym-with-a-pool to check it out and buy a membership. 
On the minus side, I don't have a new farrier yet to replace the one I fired for not showing up so I still can't ride because Trump needs shoes first. But then, I really won't have time to supervise a new farrier or ride for another day, so  hopefully more phone calls today will get that going.
The thing that's got me unable to sleep is probably Pedro's surgery, which is today.  Happy, healthy thoughts in Pedro's direction are very welcome. After I take him to the vet, I've got all sorts of things booked that include being with other people, so that will keep my mind occupied so that I don't fret too much.  As much as I would like it to,  my plans today do not include Diesel for two reasons - my Alice has a 4:10 dentist appointment (which is when I usually leave for Diesel) and I will have to go pick Pedro up when they call me, probably around 6pm.  Since I do not own a teleportal, or have a clone, I must stay here in NH. 

Busy day and Pedro dog report

I got a call from the vet a bit ago and Pedro has come through his surgery well and is sleeping now.  I'll be able to get him tomorrow.  I did get a call back from one of the farriers, so my horse will get shoes on Thursday.  I kept myself so busy that I had only just got home and lit the wood stoves when chocorua got home, reminding me that I was supposed to have dinner ready already so he could go off to a meeting. I'm done now. Today's stress is over, and sleep will be welcome.
