Riding Log

It being VERY WET out this morning, I stuffed Trump in the trailer and went up to the indoor.  We had a good 45 minute dressage school in the bareback pad.  After stretch-down warm ups, we worked serpentines, shoulder-in, haunches-in and half-pass at the trot and then some canter/counter-canter.  He is getting more fit but I can honestly say that I am more fit than he is.  He was about falling down tired at the end.  His sweat was in all the right places.  In fact, the places that had been wet when we started (did I mention he was standing out in the rain before breakfast?) were dry, and his chest, stifle and neck were quite sweaty. I gave him another good grooming, yacked with barn folk, and brought him home again. It's been a very happy making morning. Now there are the tall piles of laundry to tackle.

Now I'm tired.  30 minutes in the pool. Alternating laps of breast stroke and crawl.  Pushing it. Needed my inhaler at 15 minutes, but that's not bad since I used it at 7am and got through riding without it. 

Arisia and Dim Sum

This Saturday - Yes, the Saturday of Arisia - chocorua and I will be taking the offspring for Dim Sum in Chinatown [Bos].  We will leave the Arisia hotel at 9AM SHARP.  If you're there, we'd love your company, but if you snooze, you loose. Both of us have to be back at the con by 12:30, so we WILL leave at 9AM, Saturday morning.  If anyone wants to meet us in Chinatown, we will probably go to China Pearl.
