Nov. 25th, 2007 10:19 amParty invite: Jbvb’s mostly annual birthday party!
When: January 12, 2008 from 6pm until we all fall down.
Why: JBVB’s birthday, which unlike the party, is actually annual.
He’s turning 52 this year and it is the 17th anniversary of our getting together.
Where: Same place it’s been since 1988 (which pre-dates me being on the scene, by the way, so you young folk don’t have to feel quite so young.) For those of you who don’t know: it’s our house in South Hampton NH. Comment, email, or call for directions.
Who: you, your friends, children are welcome, however childproofed this house is not. There are hot things, and fragile things, and, sometimes, nasty evil nails that come up out of the floor and send small runners sprawling. So keep your shoes on, y’hear.
What we will provide: some sort of dinnerish food, and lots of snackies, beverages and booze. Music and social space. There will be quiet space upstairs.
What you will provide: the company and the fun, by bringing yourselves. If you want to bring food or beverage contributions, they would be welcome, but not necessary.
Disclaimers: The house is not childproofed. There are cats and a large dog in residence and horses out in the barn, medicate as necessary. Please drink responsibly, if we think you shouldn’t drive, we will loan you a blanket and possibly a bed, but just as possibly you get to share the rug with the dog. There is a limited amount of soft/warm crash space, which can be reserved in advance on a first come-first served basis.
RSVP's encouraged but not required.
