Of course I still don't have grid power at home, or internet. If you posted anything to LJ or facebook between 9pm on Thursday and now, I haven't seen it and probably won't see it. Email will be saved and read. If I have time, I'll go back and skim LJ, but not until I have house net back.
I spent Friday making sure that my tenants were coping and helping clear the Kinney Hill driveway, which had several large trees down across it. Instead of going to the gym, I wielded the chainsaw, axe and peavy, helped by my dad (he lives there) Kat (James sis, who works at the barn there) and our farmer-tenant Andre who came with his bigger chainsaw and muscles. I was lucky that all of my tenants had the lack of electricity/heat/water problem under control enough to get through without freezing.
I went for a less-local drive Friday evening to take a barn cat to the vet for a check and there was lots of dark... Epping NH did have localized power, and the lines at the gas stations were as long as any I saw in the 1970's gas crisis.
out of time now... more when we have local net back.
