V 7 rocks, and so does Pink Voyd

As stated elsewhere, chocorua  and I went to see Pink Voyd last night. It was an awesome show. For me, like an acid trip without the acid. Previous versions of me did. not. do. concerts. Trying usually resulted in a puddle of melted me that felt compelled to flee human contact for long periods of time afterward. Not only did I not melt, I enjoyed the energy of the show enough to appreciate just how very good this band is. I like Pink Floyd, and have since my acid-tripping college days. Never saw them live, which was probably a Good Thing. Did see the movie "The Wall" which had a profoundly upsetting effect on me at the time. So profound, in fact, then when I decided that I'd had enough of life, it's soundtrack was the accompaniment to my suicide attempt. After 20 years I can finally listen to The Wall and hear the song, as opposed to the torment that was in my head then.  So thanks, Pink Voyd.

Why do I compete?

Because I become a better rider when I am preparing to go out in public. And that whole cross-country thing is just fun.

jacket, show shirt, stock tie and pin, britches, boots (polished), spurs (also polished)...
tack is clean, horse is clean, show pads unearthed from winter storage, hay and water in trailer, gas in truck... Check. double check. review dressage test. prayer.
