PSA - my kid has illness
Nov. 8th, 2009 08:55 pmIf you saw me and/or
chocorua at a party on Saturday night: it was brought to our attention while we were out that our 15 year old has a feverish achy illness. Her school is requiring that she be fever free for 24 hours before returning, but is not actually testing for H1N1 because they have had enough actual positive cases that they are assuming that this is the flu that is going around. Alice's symptoms (which are decreasing in severity over today) were a highest fever of 102, chills, body aches and a cough. It started with a cough and general tiredness on Friday, develped the fever Saturday night, and is getting better over the course of today. Yes, she spent all day today on the couch, no she is not 'dying'. Neither James nor I are exhibiting any signs of illness over the general tiredness we would expect from having gotten home after 1am this morning/last night, but there is a slight chance that either of us could be contagous. Please don't get hysterical, it's not horrible.
