Getting rid of stuff: FREE STUFF

1. I have a pile of kitchen/dining/party goods - high quality tea sets, dishware, serving plates, and the like that I have to clean out for my dad. The current plan is to box it all up and give it to a charity. Are you a charity? Would you like this stuff? It must be gone by April 1st.  Some of it has sentimental value to me and I am loath to part with it, but I don't have any space to keep it, or the inclination to use it.

2. I have a pile of fabric - things that I have kept because it might be useful for something.... Old sheets with tears or blown out elastic, good pieces of denim left from torn jeans - things like that. I don't want it to go to a landfill.... but I don't want to keep it anymore, either.  Any takers? It's a large trash bag and a little bit more, delivery to camberville available.

Saturday, May 29, beginning at 4:42 PM the Happy Way Bus will, in fact, take us to Solla Sollew. With nods to Dr. Suess and Douglas Adams, please know the location of your towel and be assured that this plane will not wait for the shipment of lemon-scented moist towelettes. The past 42 years have been a wild ride for me, and I hope that the next 42 are just as exciting, but maybe in a different way. Some of you reading this, I've now known for over 1/2 my life. That is just astounding to me. And I wonder "will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm 64?" Yes, that means it's potluck time! Except that this pottluck is being left to the Fates - bring what you feel moved to bring. I'll supply the plates, flatware and cups. I'll also supply Dr Suess and Douglas Adams for reading and Beatles for the stereo.

When: May 29, 2010 starting at 4:42 and continuing until the key-slapping slippard cuts through the ropes and locks the door again.

How (to get here): by car, unfortunately, but RSVP can get you pick-up from mass transit points in Haverhill or Newburyport.
