What is the world coming to?
Sep. 21st, 2011 08:14 amThe dumpster that I ordered yesterday showed up at 7am today.
The electrician, whom I called yesterday, arrived at 7:30, made the demolition area non-electrified, and is gone already.
Right now I've got 2 big construction projects going, involving 3 contractors and my handyman. All of them are working together well, showing up when they say they will, being respectful and even helpful to each other, and making proper progress. From where I sit, this is project manager's heaven.
If I had to find causation for all of this wonderfulness, I'd say there are two main reasons. One is that I now have a certain amount of experience managing contractors, and that's got to count for something. Two is that the things that I'm doing are of clear and good purpose: I am working in agreement with the Universe.
