I'm cleaning out a desk drawer that I haven't really examined since I lived in Somerville MA. Only a scant few readers of this will actually remember that.
The largest object is the original video controller card out of my first computer, a 1986 IBM PC. I wonder if I should liberate that machine from [livejournal.com profile] chocorua or give him the card. I bet the PC would boot, but it lacks a working monitor and keyboard.
I found rabies tags from various cats. One of those mush have been Ghost's.
A bulging keying, some keys came from MIT, some are to bike locks that are long gone, and a couple went to a certain yellow jeep that [livejournal.com profile] drglam probably remembers.
A film canister of thumbtacks, and another with Canadian coins. A centennial half dollar coin.
A plethora of pens and highlighters, all of which surprisingly still work.
A single crayola crayon, purple. I remember why it's there, even, but the people involved in that probably don't remember.
A spool of black thread with a needle stuck in it.
A wad of wallet sized photos. [livejournal.com profile] mathhobbit, one of them is your HS sr photo.
A silver unicorn n a chain, a gold wishbone pin in an expensive looking box.
A pair of black rubber balls, known as the happy and sad balls, one bounces, the other doesn't.
The nail file that I kept in my back pocket the entire time I has braces because I couldn't bite my fingernails.
A tag off a pair of size 12 Levi's.
An interesting assortment of screws, hex keys, paperclips, safety pins and binder clips.
A leather bracelet that I wore a lot one year or another.
Stamps: type C, and $0.03. And $0.19 postcards.
There's more, but all stuff one would expect, like old business cards, hair ties, and unworkable wristwatches.
I found my pitch pipe, that was a win.
