Jocelyn and Amelia
would like to invite you to
a double birthday party
featuring potluck, dance, massage, and more

Saturday and Sunday, May 17-18, 2008

Place:

A bed & breakfast inn set on a lovely hilltop
one hour's drive north of Boston, on the NH border.

Time:

Guests may start arriving at Noon Saturday.
Anyone still around by Six PM Sunday helps clean up.
Feel free to come for part or all.

Responses:

You must RSVP.
We want to know who'll be there, so if you're coming, let us know,
preferably at least a week in advance. Tell us who's coming with
you and who's staying overnight. Then we'll send you directions.
The RSVP address is "doublebirthday@mirror.to"

What to bring:

* Food to share

The inn has a professional kitchen, so there will be plenty of frig
space. We'll bring over a microwave. If you want to use the stove or
oven, just let us know. There will be outlets to plug in crock pots.
There's a blender if you want to bring drink materials and mix them.

Also please bring a plate, bowl, cup or glass, and set of utensils.
Labeling them is a good idea, too.

* Entertainments

There's a nice room for dancing. It's carpeted, but we expect to be
renting a dance floor. There will be a DJ spinning swing dance music
with some funk and blues thrown in. If you want to spin, let us know;
we could set up another room for techno/electronica, 80s, or whatever.

We'll have some massage tables and a clothing optional, non-sexualized,
space to use them in. Massage cream would be useful to have along.

Impromptu drum jams might happen; bring drums and any other musical
instruments you feel like bringing.

There's plenty of space for hooping, fire-spinning, juggling, stilts
and so on, so bring your toys. We'll have some bodypaint, please
feel encouraged to bring more.

There's an indoor pool and a hot tub, but we aren't sure either
will be operational during the event. You may want to bring a
swim suit just in case.

* Sleeping space will mostly be indoors on the floors; at the very
least bring a sleeping bag for yourself; futons and air mattresses
are not a bad idea. There could be tents as well, but talk to us in
advance if you want to do that.

Rules and Warnings:

* There is a commercial stable on the property a few steps from the inn.
That big gray building is strictly off-limits to party-goers unless escorted
by Jocelyn. There may be horses outside of the barn during the day; do not
interact with them.

* Because of the horses, there are electric fences on the property.
You don't want to touch them.

* This event is not clothing optional except in designated indoor areas
(massage room, hot tub if it's operational, etc.).

* Please do not take photographs of people without their permission,
and be respectful if the answer is no.

* Children are allowed, but we expect them to be closely supervised.
We reserve the right to sell them to gypsies if we catch them wandering.
If you are a gypsy, and would be interested in spare children, please let
us know.

* We reserve the right to take your car keys if we think you are
not safe to drive.

Other stuff:

* Rain: It's New England. There's lots of space indoors, but if it's a
soggy weekend, firespinning and other outdoor activities are less likely
to happen.

* Transit: Please do conserve gas by carpooling. If you would like to
be picked up from the Newburyport commuter rail station, contact us
in advance to see which trains we'll be meeting.
