riding log and stuff

Rode first thing this morning, but there was a minor problem. I woke up with a very stiff/painful knee. I put an ace bandage on it and went to ride anyway. Well... It really doesn't hurt that much to stand or walk on it once it's wrapped, so I didn't think riding would hurt. uh-oh. I went to apply my leg and that inward slightly back motion almost made me cry. So there was a lot of whip usage on that side today. I practiced my dressage test for my upcoming show, so now I know it, and maybe Trump does too. By the end of the ride he was much quicker off the leg aid; I guess using the whip that much tuned him up a little. Once I got home again I got out my big neoprene knee brace and put that on. Ah, much better now. In fact, it doesn't hurt at all now.
After I got done riding, I received a visit from one of my mom's old friends and we talked for a while. She was on her way up to visit my dad and help him sort and box the bookstore. Of all of my mother's friends, the is one of the two I really like.
After she left, I went back to the Hill and did some mowing with the big tractor. Then there was a shower and a hour nap before grocery shopping and going out to dinner with J's mom and his two boys. He is sadly away tonight, on his way to NJ for a business meeting tomorrow. I have pitted the 5 lbs of cherries that J picked in preparation for turning them into jam. But now I must fall into bed, for it is late and there is much to do tomorrow.

Windrush wouldn't take them, because they use the big square ones, and I was contemplating turning them into rat hammocks, but now they'll be put to their intended use.
