The vet is scheduled to come check out Vinnie on Wednesday afternoon. And that seems like so far away.
What I did today was a flat school on Trump. He was very good. We kept going - trot and canter for a good 1/2 hour before taking a short break. He feels very fit and it really suspending himself and carrying through his back. We had good shoulder in, haunches in, half-pass, canter-walk-canter, counter canter. He was really responding well to the aids. I am happy. But I was also very tired and had a couple of sore muscles when we got done. It's been too long since I rode in the dressage saddle. I think I need at least once a week in it if not twice to keep my muscles tuned for it. The last bunch of times I've ridden has been in the jump saddle and it's very different angles in the hip and knee. Ah, the hardest part of eventing, cross-training.
