I am dying to see the results of this, as I have been looking for mac accounting software, and the last thing I need is to get crap and have to go through set up again and again. Oh accounting, I do hate thee so. Thus far my research suggests that First Edge from MYOB is kind of the benchmark.standard, but I am looking at Moneydance. I think I have been disuaded from liquid ledger by lots of viewed negative feedback. Remarkably few reviews for the smaller things, but.... this is what I have gotten from my searches. Keep us informed.
whatever you go with, don't use Quickbooks. It was tolerable for PC, but when I had a problem after I switched to the Mac, their mac tech support was understaffed, their support web interface didn't work on the mac with any browser, and they were in generally unhelpful. EVEN when the problem was their UPDATE. I finally did a re-install on my own back to the earlier version and reclaimed my backups. Which is why I am looking elsewhere.
