Foods from the Farm

I am planning on being at Diesel tomorrow (Tuesday 9/12) and could bring eggs and/or pears to those who want.  But it would be really good if I knew BEFORE tomorrow morning. 

Foods that are available by visiting: Basil, Hazelnuts, Pears, Eggs, Tomatoes.  I have a small quantity of Onions, Garlic and Sage that could go also. 

Scheduling - Solar home tour and our Party

For people who are interested in seeing the farm - My weekends are gone (Boston Folk festival, weekend class, horse show) until October.  October 7 is the National Solar Home Tour/Green buildings open house, organised by NESEA here in the New England. We will have our house/renewable energy system on tour that day.  Our party, as previously announced in on October 14.  I know I talked to a bunch of people at the End of Summer party abobut seeing the farm, so I'm sorry about the unavailability on weekends.  I am usually available by appointment during the week.

Brief recap of the day, with emotional notes.

I had a very productive day.  Lots of laundry got done, the lawn got mowed, Alice got a riding lesson from me, animals were tended, dinner cooked, and then to top it all off, I cleaned my great-grandmother's old Singer's motor, oiled the Singer, and did some mending. 

The high point was during the lawn mowing when I realized that I just had the big happy face on while stomping along behind the Gravley. It was just amazing, like who would *like* doing this??  But I was really enjoying it.  So I've changed, like, a lot.
