Event report!

Dressage phase: not bad for the first time in 5 years, but not great either. We needed to be much more forward. However, good enough to be better than the competition.
Cross-country: Trump was a star, but did get tired about 1/2 way round as expected so we incurred some time penalties for going to slow. But no jump penalties! YAY! (X-C is scored on refusals at jumps and pace. It is possible to go too fast as well as too slow.)
Stadium Jumping: not only a fault-free round, but also a well ridden and pretty one. This is where I pat myself on the back.
Final placing: second out of 8 starters. Am I thrilled? You bet!
