James update

He's in recovery, but not awake yet. The surgeon came out and spoke with me. His tendon was completely separated and has been reattached. He is not allowed out of the immobilizer for 2 weeks at least. This means no showers or baths. Hello sponges.

James update #2

he's awake. he says "it didn't kill me"  He's grumbly, but was persuaded to take a small dose of vicoden.
I'll probably be taking him home shortly.
