Went to show. Kicked butt.

The longer story: Skippy was relaxed and attentive throughout. If anything, he was easier to ride than at home. The melting/icy/puddly sand warm-up arena presented him with no problem whatsoever. The snow coming off the roof.... from inside was not worth considering....but from outside and threatening to fall ON US: that was scary and he thought that running away fast was a really good idea. I can't say I blame him. Control was quickly regained after the snow hit the ground. The tests themselves were steady, with just a little leaning on the left rein. I was able to perform my usual extreme accuracy. This particular judge likes horses with higher heads so I was scored favorably even though he was not as round as I would have liked. (Aside: it's not so much that we won both classes, but that both tests scored almost 70%)
Alice and Trump did their tests fairly well, but lost points because Trump, though he has good self-carriage, had his head way low.
