It's really amazing how much time it takes to do laundry, wash dishes, pay bills and in general upkeep a home and family. I really don't know how you folk with 'real' jobs do it.

when i'm working just 8-10 hours i day, i manage to have time to do laundry, get the plants watered, feed the car, and other trifles.

when i'm working more, which is to say lately 11-13 hour days, well, one doesn't. work, sleep, travel.

fortunately, work provides decent enough food, don't have to buy groceries except for yogurt every 2ish weeks.

i do make time for downtime, so i maximize that.

but to answer the "real" question: often, we don't; i've managed to arrange things so that i can put any number of things off a long time.
