The place that bought my Dexters has a Herford steer that "is ready to be in someone's freezer." Expected hanging weight is 700 lbs. Compared to mine, this is huge, but could easily be shared by 2-3 households. If there is a group interested here, I can work as liaison with the owner. It's mostly grass fed, has lots of pasture, not organic, but certainly well cared for. The place was quite clean, and the people have the critters because they like having them.
