Riding in the drizzle

Yesterday was Dressage in the drizzle. Our test felt better than the last one, but didn't score as well. On the other hand, we were almost last to go in our division and there was some stiff competition. Today we jumped in intermittent drizzle on puddley footing. Our stadium round was good, not as pretty as the last one, but I rode well and to my plan. Cross Country rode excellently. We had two sticky jumps, both my fault, but all the rest were awesome. I can live with that. The novice jumps are looking mighty small, and the training course looked very inviting. Even some of the preliminary jumps look fun. I think we are ready to move up. And oh yea, we finished 3rd.

Very glad to see the photos! Had I understood the course layout better, I might have stuck with Alice's route. Was just remembering you coming off X/C at Groton House and needing immediate Gatorade and possibly your inhaler. You have come a long way, and have a long way to look forward to.

I'm glad you met me at the finish. I didn't know I'd come off as easy as I did! Still need to be more fit though.
