I was recently given 'some' turkeys (live) to pay part of a debt. Um... the first number of turkeys I heard was 3. It turns out to be 4. I've already 'sold' 2 and intend to eat the big one. So...

Anybody want a family-raised pretty-much-organic turkey? It's probably going to dress out between 16 and 20 lbs and I can deliver it to Diesel on Tuesday. No, It's not dead yet, but it will be on Tuesday.  Price negotiable from straight charity through barter up to $3/lb.

Man, I wish we could take advantage of your offer. We're having a heck of a time finding a fresh kosher turkey, due to the legal/ethical issues Rubashkin's is having ... :(

Well, aside from me not being a Rabbi, the kill will be right, if you want this one.

Well, I suppose a rabbi can't be *that* hard to come by. There's a nice reform on in Lowell Rab. Kominski. He's the father of someone I went to my first year of college with and one of the pastors at Andover.

Also, if you need double extra super koshering, there's a Lubavitcher house in Andover.

And dood, I would so like to see that! But no tiiiiiime.

It looks like you've already got a taker, and we've found a source of Empire (I know, I know, but they're kosher), so we're good.

Would love to have an organic farm raised turkey but wasn't planning for a 16-20lb bird this year and don't know that I've got the cash for what this is likely to add up to. That said, let me know if you don't get any other offers and I'll see if I can scroung up the cash. At the very least, the leftovers would feed us for quite a while.

Did you see that bit about sliding scale price? Don't worry, if you want it, it's yours.

Thank you, that's incredibly kind of you. We can definitely meet you at Diesel this coming Tuesday. And hey, it will be the first time I've gotten to come to Diesel in ages!!! Let me know how much it SHOULD cost and I will see how much I of that I can cover.

Market price is something like $3.50/lb for organic/free range turkey this year. We based the debt payment on $3/lb and figured 16lb/hen... so my "cost" is $48. See you Tuesday!
