Cross posted to Suspects.

When: October 14, 2006 1pm until everyone leaves of goes to sleep. RSVP's encouraged.

Where: Our farm in South Hampton, NH

Activities: People are welcome to enjoy company, woods, fields, critters, and company starting in the early afternoon. There will be a feed comprised of mostly local foods* for carnivores and non-carnivores alike from roughly 4:30 pm until 7 pm.

7PM - Performance by the band Local Midnight.

post-performance - standard party munchies, conversation, recorded music, if the weather is clear there can be telescopes for moon/star gazing.

If we can get a permit, there may be a small bonfire - which I would light at party start, and would be of marshmallow roasting size after dark.

Food:
*mostly local means I either grew it here, my tenants grew it here or within 2 miles, or it can't be grown in New England. People are welcome to contribute local, regional, or personal specailties if they desire.

Crash space: indoor, soft crash space is limited, allocated according to RSVPs on a first come-first served basis. Indoor floor space to anyone who can find it when they need to crash. Outdoor tent space is copious. I would greatly appreciate RSVP's from everyone who intends to crash, so as to be prepared for Sunday breakfast/brunch, which is one of my favorite meals.

Who's invited - pretty much everyone, but if I don't already know you, please introduce yourself. Well-behaved small children and pets are welcome, but should be taken home before they get cranky. You know your children/pets best, so I'm not setting a specific clock time. House and surrounding area are not toddler-safe, don't let them run loose unless they can listen to and follow rules. Animals of all kinds abound. Medicate or don't complain (people who complain about allergies will be subjected to my herbal/dietary rant on curing them).

Details - Directions requests and RSVP's (please RSVP) to joc@ttlc.net. It is possible to get close to here by mass transit, we can pick-up in Newburyport at Commuter Rail or C&J Trailways bus, or at Haverhill Amtrak/Commuter Rail by prior arrangement. [profile] chocorua knows bike routes from Boston for the dedicated (~45 mi.).
