cleaning up - stuff for cheap/free

I have two motorola/verizon cell phones, both working, with manuals and chargers, W385 and W315. Free to good homes.

I have recently upgraded camcorders and would sell/loan/make me an offer the older one. Sony DCR DVD/92. In original box with cables, manuals and even some mini-dvds. 

I have an even older camcorder, also a sony, that records onto Hi8 tapes. Works fine, have battery, charger, manual and bag. Free.

There is this dual deck VHS/Hi8 player (goldstar)  that I have.... it does not work, but someone clever might be able to revive it. Free.

I know nothing about camcorders and have no dollars to put into it, but I wonder if this would be a good one to have at my birth?

The reason I upgraded is that while the mini-dvd's are a great movable media, they only work in drives that have a tray, and therefore not the slot on my mac. You should talk to the person who you expect to being running the camera. (and yes, now is the time to delegate that job if you haven't already)

I hadn't thought to video before so I'm not sure who would be holding the camera, but I think everyone attending my birth is a Mac user so I guess that won't work. Thanks!
