A poem, and what makes a *good* day

Unbidden you enter my dreamtime
With your quirky smile and flashing eyes
Your passion lingering like honey in my thoughts
Long after our time is over

Together one spring unfolded
Now as winter comes to the land

While I'm not doing at all what I had planned on today, I'm having a good service day - The first call I got this morning was my chimney guy who will be showing up sometime TODAY (?!) to repair the flue liner for the living room wood stove that likes to slip down. The next call I got was the mechanic saying that my truck was fixed!!! So I hopped on my bike and went to get it. My lungs whined, but I did pedal up the hill, as opposed to having to walk the bike. Yay me.

Last night, Alice and I had food adventures: We were at our favorite Sushi/Japanese resturant (in Portsmouth NH) and Alice stole my eel. Alice LIKES eel. She also tried my tuna and salmon sashimi and liked the tuna but not the salmon so much. I think we have a convert. She'll probably like makrel sashimi too, just like her dad.

Tuna and salmon, particularly salmon, are my favorites. gravitrue is pretty into eel when it's "done right":)

Alyssa loves eel too, I get eel filets,keep 'em in the freezer, and broil them over rice on occasion
