only in spirit, sister. That helmet was a Caliente jockey skull, special ordered from England in 1975(?) after my hunt cap came off in a fall and I required two stitches in my head. I rode in the helmet every ride until it got run over by the trailer in 1984, not too long after these photos were taken. The gray was Paleface, thought to be a Connemara. 14h 1.5 in, was the same age as I was and and died of a brain tumor in 1989 at the age of 21. I had had her from the time I was 8. She took me from new-to-pony club through my B rating, from short stirrup in the hunter ring to Eventing at training level. more photos of her here : http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/album.php?aid=13377&id=100000573185134 and here: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=114658815229891&set=a.114658811896558.14964.100000573185134
The caliente with the same colors on it are what I was riding in from 79 to 85 - the tail end of PC (never tested for B, size of fences horrified me!) through the riding I was doing in grad school at UMass.
Your Paleface is a powerful looking creature! The gray pony I had was 14.1, a mystery pony from a field in VT who made it down to us in MA and then taught me and half my 4H club by being their first pony. Oddly put together, but capable.
