From far away

Happy new year to all my friends in lj-land. I have very happily rung in the new year with my friend of oldest standing. I'm in Aberdeen Scotland, and I may very well come back here next year this time.
This trip is a funny one though. I'm traveling with chocorua and Alice. The trip is in honor of delivering Alice to her exchange program in Germany. We leave here tomorrow to go and visit with the German relatives.
I feel weird, but happy.
