goddessfarmer I am in Sedona, Arizona attending an intensive 5 days of Fire Temple work. Today we had a bunch of lecture and 3 meditations. Mostly I'm using this space to remember the important bits of my meditations. I don't really expect this to be of much interest to my readers here. Typing out my hand-written notes helps me remember things.
The first meditation was a personal experience of how we are "lights" or "lamps" and the relationship of that to the 3 soul model that the Temple of Witchcraft uses. Our inner fire is important. I mostly took some sort of detour during this meditation and didn't follow the guiding voice very well. I did feel a very strong sense of the room lighting up as the 3 souls aligned and a whole room full of people lit their inner lamps. That was kinda cool.
The second and longest meditation was a trip to find our fire guides. I stayed with this one, although my guides were ready to jump ahead. I was greeted by Cerridwen and Hecate, dressed in white and black respectively, welcoming me. They both hugged me, and then Hecate faded into the background as I had a walk and talk with Cerridwen. She gently told me that I already knew all I needed to know about fire and showed me a movie-like review of my of my experiences with fire, both as an element and on the physical. I guess once one has been burned at the stake, one knows a thing or two about fire. I asked her about my sore hip and she said to rest, stop being impatient, it needs time. I asked why I was on this retreat if she didn't think I needed to know more about fire, and apparently my presence here is needful for others.
After another short lecture bit about the Sedona Vortexes, we did a short meditation to connect with the lands spirits. I felt that at a great depth here there are caverns underneath this challenging landscape. They are inhabited by some entities who remind me very much of the Shide, from the UK, but they say that they are different. They have seen the native Americans come and go, and now the "builders" who are really destroyers. The vortexes are an energetic constructs that these entities use as elevators to get from their caverns to the surface. Many people have tried to map the vortexes to the chakras, but I was told that we are trying to use the wrong map. Think in curving lines, not straight ones. think about the flower of life. Think globally, not locally.
Tomorrow afternoon we get to actually visit some. that should be interesting.
