Chickens are in the freezer. Thanks to  tamidon (and her youngest), desiringsubject, entrochan, quezz, chocorua, and drbitch for helping. The total head count was 14. The smallest was just over 2 lbs and the largest was about 6.  Most of these birds are already sold, but I'm wondering if I should do another batch of 25 this season (which usually ends up more like 20).  Who wants chicken at the end of October?

Now I really should go wash the blood off my legs and sandals.

I'd do that again, and would happily buy one or two more.

The gizzards weren't that hard to clean and are (along with the necks) already becoming soup. Smells good!
