Or what happens when the slip clutch dosen't....

The parts on the deck, along with the bent frame rod.

Wow that totally sucks.
Looks like a welding project is in order.

Earlier in the summer ( when the grass was thick thick thick)I learned about the slip clutch; I was working for a friend so I managed not to break his shaft at the time, and I was glad to learn all about the working slip clutch on his mower.

Not welding, new parts. The splined shaft is part of the gearbox, and the drive shaft is an off-the-shelf replacement. The thing is already at the shop since I don't have time for a 'learning experience' right now.
